Jakarta, Indonesia – As a side event of the 43rd ASEAN Summit, the 2023 ASEAN-KOREA AI YOUTH FESTA! was conducted in Jakarta, Indonesia, where ASEAN startups showcased their ideas on-site. The ROK President Yoon Suk Yeol was present at this event together with the ROK Minister of Science and Information and Communication Technologies, the Ministers of Cooperatives and SMEs and Communication and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia, Deputy Chairman of the National Research and Innovation Agency of the Republic of Indonesia and the Deputy Secretary General of ASEAN for the ASEAN Economic Community.
One of the event highlights was the meet and greet between President of Republic of Korea (ROK) Yoon Suk Yeol and ASEAN startups on Digital Innovation Flagship Project.
Conducted at the margin of the 43rd ASEAN Summit and Related Summits, the event was opened by the Minister of Science and Information and Communication Technology of ROK Lee Jong-Ho where he encouraged more innovative collaboration. The event also witnessed the awarding ceremony for ASEAN AI Startups Pitching Competition presented by Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs of Indonesia Teten Masduki and Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN Satvinder Singh.
