Sub-Committee on Earth, Ocean, and Space Science (SC-EOSS) – Terms of Reference
SC-EOSS was formed from the merger of the Subcommittee on Space Technology and Applications (SCOSA), the Subcommittee on Meteorology and Geophysics (SCMG), and the Subcommittee on Marine Science and Technology (SCMSAT). The SC-EOSS focuses on enhancing regional research capability and capacity in space technology and its practical applications. Its mandate covers a wide range of large-scale scientific endeavors, including Earth observation, weather and climate services, and marine science. The subcommittee promotes cross-sectoral collaboration to deploy STI in support of the blue and circular economy, addressing regional environmental and atmospheric challenges. Through its work in space situational awareness and seismology, SC-EOSS provides critical technical inputs for ASEAN-wide disaster management and environmental monitoring frameworks.

The Chairmanship shall be held for 2 years, from January of the first year to December of the second year. The rotation of the Chairmanship shall follow alphabetical order.
