2025 ASEAN–ROK STI Training Programme

Representatives from all 11 ASEAN Member States gathered in Seoul on 23–30 November for the 2025 ASEAN–ROK STI Training Programme. The programme provided valuable insights into Korea’s innovation ecosystem, ranging from gifted education and STI policy development to start-up support, semiconductor R&D, and high-tech cluster development.

Delegates also visited key institutions including LG Science Park, Seoul Startup Hub, Hanyang University and Pangyo Techno Valley, gaining practical perspectives on how talent mobility, research collaboration and industry–academia partnerships can drive regional competitiveness.

The programme also celebrated ASEAN’s emerging scientists through the ASEAN–ROK Awards for Excellence in STI, recognising outstanding contributions in biotechnology and sustainable materials.
