The third/final ASEAN COSTI Sub-Committees Restructuring Consultation and the Workshop on the Harmonisation of COSTI Online Platforms were held on 23-24 September 2025 in the ASEAN Secretariat. The Workshop was supported by the European Union through the Enhanced Regional EU-ASEAN Dialogue Instrument (E-READI).
The consultation gathered inputs from the ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology, ad Innovation (COSTI), its Board of Advisers (BAC), and sub-committees, agreeing to streamline its structure from nine to five sub-committees, which will be implemented in 2026.
In parallel, the platform harmonisation workshop presented a prototype of the unified online portal, designed to integrate COSTI’s networks and subsidiary bodies into a single, consolidated platform. These milestones mark an important step in strengthening ASEAN’s science, technology, and innovation (STI) governance, enabling more efficient coordination, enhanced visibility, and greater impact across the region.
