The 18th Meeting of the Board of Advisers to Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation (BAC-18) was conducted on 17 June 2025 hosted by Indonesia. The Meeting was chaired by Dr. Keo Socheat of BAC Cambodia, with Dr. Khairul Rizal of BAC Indonesia serving as Vice Chair.
The Meeting focused on enhancing private sector engagement with the Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation (COSTI), including an interface meeting with the ASEAN Business Advisory Council. The Meeting also provided key recommendations to COSTI on matters such as the restructuring of Sub-Committees, the ASEAN Science, Technology and Innovation Fund (ASTIF) Call, the ASEAN Plan of Action on STI (APASTI) Task Force, the timeline of annual priorities and Timor-Leste’s Membership in ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Science, Technology and Innovation (AMMSTI) and COSTI.
