The 21st ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Science, Technology and Innovation (AMMSTI-21) was held on 20 June 2025, in Jakarta, Indonesia. It was chaired by H.E. Dr. Laksana Tri Handoko, National Research and Innovation Agency, Indonesia. AMMSTI serves as a meeting for ministers in charge of science, technology, and innovation (STI) from ASEAN member countries.
This year’s Meeting is aimed to engage in discussions, exchange ideas, share successful strategies, and explore possible collaborations in the field of STI, emphasising on Empowering ASEAN’s STI Ecosystem: National Commitments for Regional Impact through the ASEAN Plan of Action on STI (APASTI) 2026-2035. The meeting concluded with the adoption of the APASTI 2026-2035.
