The Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) Workshop 2025: Research on Patent Examination Practices in Pharmaceutical and Related Fields in ASEAN Member States – Phase 2 was held on 25 July 2025 in Tokyo, Japan.
The Workshop brought together representatives from ASEAN Member States, the ASEAN Secretariat, and key Japanese institutions to share national practices and strengthen regional understanding. It marked an important step toward harmonising patent examination standards in the pharmaceutical sector across ASEAN.
