This is a two-day workshop to further engage in genome-editing advocacy across ASEAN member countries and discuss areas for potential collaboration on research and policy which will be conducted on September 10-11, 2024 at the ASEAN Secretariat, Jakarta, Indonesia.

• Crop Improvement Technologies and Convention on Biological Diversity
• Gene-Editing Applications in Plants
• Exploring Opportunities for Good Regulatory Practices
• Recommended Action Points to Facilitate GnEd Policy Framework

The objectives of the second workshop are to further engage and align understanding on genome-editing across ASEAN member countries, as well as creating champions among national researchers within ASEAN countries for a more robust policy framework in GnEd products. Additionally, this workshop seeks to provide recommendations to ASEAN Ministers of Science & Technology on developing GnEd technologies based on the outputs of this workshop.
