The 20th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Science, Technology and Innovation (AMMSTI-20) was held on 7 June 2024, in Siem Reap, Cambodia. It was chaired by H.E. Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation Cambodia. AMMSTI serves as a meeting for ministers in charge of science, technology, and innovation from ASEAN member countries. This year’s Meeting is aimed to engage in discussions, exchange ideas, share successful strategies, and explore possible collaborations in the field of science and technology, particularly in artificial intelligence (AI). The meeting concluded with the announcement of the Ministerial Statement on AI, paving the way for holistic AI utilisation in the region.
