In conjunction with the COSTI-88 and Related Meetings, a series of impactful side events were organised by the European Union (EU), the Republic of Korea (ROK), and the U.S. ASEAN Business Council (USABC), highlighting strong partnerships in advancing science, technology and innovation (STI) in ASEAN.
The 2025 ASEAN–ROK STI Workshop on 23 October explored the implementation roadmap for the APASTI 2026–2035 and discussed mechanisms for strengthening ASEAN–ROK joint R&D collaboration.
The EU showcased three key initiatives under its support to COSTI through E-READI:
✅ASEAN Talent Mobility (ATM)
✅Regional Research Infrastructure (RRI)
✅Technology Management Hub (TMH)
These achievements were highlighted through a training workshop, welcome dinner presentation, and the event “A Celebration of EU Support for ASEAN.”
On 24 October, USABC hosted an Innovation Showcase in partnership with the UL Research Institutes–ASEAN–U.S. Science Prize for Women 2025, promoting the ASEAN–U.S. Innovation Partnership and announcing this year’s Science Prize winner.
These engagements reflect the strong collaboration between ASEAN and its Dialogue Partners in building a sustainable, innovative and knowledge-driven future for the region.
