The ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation (COSTI) participated in the 13th Forum on China-ASEAN Technology Transfer and Collaborative Innovation (FCATTCI-13), hosted by the China-ASEAN Technology Transfer Center (CATTC), Guangxi, China, from 16–17 September 2025.
With the theme “Shared AI, Shared Future,” the forum featured the main forum, the awarding ceremony and the launching of the China-ASEAN Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (CAEIC); the 7th ASEAN Plus Three (10+3) Young Scientists Forum and the 3rd China-ASEAN AI Cooperation Forum. During the forum, China also proposed the establishment of a China-ASEAN AI Innovation Cooperation Center, which will be further reviewed by both sides.
Three flagship and annual ASEAN-China science, technology and innovation (STI) cooperation initiatives are supported by CATTC includes FCATTCI, CAEIC, and the China-ASEAN AI Cooperation Forum. ASEAN Secretariat also held a meeting with CATTC and visited the 22ⁿᵈ China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO). Together, ASEAN and China continue to strengthen collaboration, harness innovation, and build a shared future through STI.
