The 3rd China-ASEAN Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (CAIEC) was successfully convened on 30-31 July 2025, bringing together leading innovators and entrepreneurs from across ASEAN and China. From over 300 submissions, 20 outstanding teams were rigorously selected to showcase their cutting-edge technologies under the theme of digital economy and green and low carbon technologies.
The event was jointly organised by the China-ASEAN Technology Transfer Centre (CATTC) and the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. Supported by the ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology, and Innovation (COSTI), Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) Malaysia, and the Department of Science and Technology of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the competition served as a strategic platform to foster cross-border collaboration and facilitate innovation exchange.
In conjunction with the event, an official visit to the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) was conducted, offering ASEAN and Chinese participants a valuable opportunity to explore and understand the enabling environment for digital business expansion in the region.
