The 87th ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology, and Innovation (COSTI-87) and Related Meetings were held on 18 June 2025, in Jakarta, Indonesia. This year, the Meeting was hosted by the National Research and Innovation Agency, Indonesia.
In total, there were 5 meetings conducted throughout the week including the 62nd Meeting of Sub-Committee on S&T Infrastructure and Resource Development (SCIRD-62), the 18th Board of Advisers to COSTI (BAC-18) Meeting, COSTI-87, the 14th Meeting of ASEAN-Japan Cooperation Committee on S&T (AJCCST-14) and the 12th Meeting of the ASEAN-EU Dialogue on Science, Technology and Innovation (AEUDSTI-12).
The Meetings served as a key platform to strengthen, leverage and align strategies for science, technology, and innovation among ASEAN Member States and with dialogue partners, including the information of the soft launch of the ASEAN Plan of Action on STI 2026-2035 on 20 June 2025.
