An artificial intelligence (AI) related-workshop with the title, “Human-Centered Adoption of AI in ASEAN” was held in Siem Reap, Cambodia, in conjunction with the 85th ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology, and Innovation (COSTI-85) and related Meetings.
The event was co-hosted by the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation of Cambodia, The Asia Foundation, and the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (Stanford HAI). This side event aimed to facilitate a discussion of how ASEAN can orientate its policies and coordination mechanisms toward an environment that maximises the benefits of AI adoption while minimising risks and mitigating potential harms.
