On April 23-24, 2024, the OECD Headquarters in Paris, France, hosted the influential High Level Multistakeholder Dialogue and OECD- Committee on Science and Technology Policy (CSTP) Ministerial, hosted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research of France. This gathering brought together ministers and high-level representatives from OECD member countries, invited non-members, and international organizations to endorse a transformative science, technology, and innovation (STI) policy agenda centered on sustainability transitions. Among the notable attendees were delegations from the 38 OECD Member Countries, including STI Ministers, alongside representatives from 4 OECD Accession Countries and 9 invited countries, with a significant presence from 6 ASEAN member States.
The ASEAN Secretariat, represented by H.E. Satvinder Singh, Deputy Secretary General for ASEAN Economic Community, played a proactive role, intervening in 3 out of 4 ministerial plenaries, focusing on critical topics such as digital and green transitions, international cooperation and competition, and shaping a transformative science, technology, and innovation agenda for an inclusive future.
