The ASEAN Talent Mobility (ATM) Connect: Green Talent Development to Enhance ASEAN Economic Co-Creation and Sustainable Society through Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI)-based Solution was conducted from February 27 to 29, 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Hosted by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI) of the Kingdom of Thailand, the event is aimed to promote the ASEAN Talent Mobility platform and facilitate the development of comprehensive work plans addressing critical issues to foster an ASEAN research community.
The discussions encompassed special meetings of the Sub-Committee of Sustainable Energy Research (SCSER) focusing on carbon neutrality, the meetings and workshops for projects under Sub-Committee on S&T Infrastructure and Resource Development (SCIRD) including ASEAN Talent Mobility (ATM), Bio-Circular Green (BCG) Network Governing council, and the ASEAN S&T Fellow Meeting.
Additionally, a Landscape Study Report was presented, featured by Regional Research Infrastructure task force and the Enhanced Regional EU-ASEAN Dialogue Instrument (E-READI). The programmes throughout ATM Connect provide valuable opportunity where relevant stakeholders will share experiences, knowledge, practices, and platform showcase to create people-to-people connections focusing on green talent development in supporting ASEAN-Net-Zero journey.
