LANGKAWI, 30 November 2023 – The 4th ASEAN-India Grassroots Innovation Forum (AIGIF) took place on 28-30 November 2023 at Langkawi International Convention Centre. The forum is a collaboration by the ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology, and Innovation (COSTI) and the Government of India’s Department of Science & Technology (DST). This year’s forum is hosted by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI) Malaysia through its agency, Yayasan Inovasi Malaysia.
AIGIF stands as a nexus to foster social innovation among grassroots communities and innovation ecosystem, and promote them to government, academia, businesses, and society. It is also seen as an opportunity to provide a networking and marketing platform for innovators and entrepreneurs in the ASEAN Member States (AMS) and India.
A total of 11 countries, representing by AMS and India, gathered at the forum, which showcased 15 international speakers sharing their insights on the future of grassroots innovation. Around 91 grassroots and student innovators, with over 60 booths set-up, showcased their various innovations.
