Phnom Penh, Cambodia – The 3rd ASEAN-EU Technology Management Hub (TMH) workshop was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on 22-23 November 2023. Attended by Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI) of Cambodia, EU Ambassador to Cambodia, and the ASEAN Committee of Science, Technology, and Innovation (COSTI) Chairperson of Cambodia and Indonesia, these workshops were organised with the support of Enhanced Regional EU-ASEAN Dialogue Instrument (E-READI) in coordination with the European Commission, Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD), and COSTI, supported by the Science and Technology Division of the ASEAN Secretariat.
The primary objective of the workshop is to strengthen the collaborative ethos of the ongoing ASEAN TMH activities. The seminar served as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and best practises regarding the latest breakthroughs in the establishment of comparable platforms and the management of cross-border technology transfer.
The workshop was also aimed at drafting the proof of concept note for the ASEAN TMH, linking national technology transfer systems in ASEAN and translating inventive concepts into technically viable solutions, capable of addressing global challenges such as the climate crisis, food and health security, pandemics and economic inequality.
